Grant Recipients 2008

In June, 2008, New Hartford Community Connections, Inc. was able to distribute $13,770 to area non-profit organizations, out of funds raised by ad sales for the 2008 directory. Here’s where the money went:

  • Antolini School – $500 for Grade 4 Program “Bridges Over Time” (linking children with seniors through poetry).

  • Bakerville Library – $2,000 to power wash and paint the building; $500 to convert sandwich board signs to use changeable letters.

  • Bakerville Consolidated and New Hartford Elementary Schools – $500 for parenting workshops.

  • Beekley Library – $2,495 for disk repair machine (DVDs, CDs, etc.).

  • Boy Scout Troop 19 – $300 for roofing material for cabin.
  • Celestial Gaits – $500 for therapeutic horseback riding.

  • Cub Scout Pack 19 – $1,375 for replacing windows in cabins.
  • Eureka Grange – $1,000 toward replacing furnace.
  • Helping Hands – $750 toward services for elderly and disabled town residents.
  • New Hartford Art League – $500 for a new sign with changeable letters.

  • New Hartford SK8 – $1,000 toward a Skate/BMX park at Brodie Park.
  • Northwestern Regional No. 7 – $500 toward Project Graduation, to help provide a safe alcohol- and substance-free graduation celebration.
